1. What We Collect

We collect your email address when you sign up. We collect conversation data (your messages and AI responses) to provide the service. We collect basic usage analytics to improve the product. If you choose to submit feedback through the app, we store that feedback alongside your user identity so we can act on it.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your email is used for authentication only. Anonymised conversation data is used to provide continuity across sessions and may be reviewed by Mindspar staff to improve the quality of thinker responses and ensure platform safety. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

Mindspar uses a number of trusted third-party services to operate. Below is a full list of providers we share data with, what data is shared, and why.

Anthropic

We send your conversation messages to Anthropic's Claude API to generate philosopher responses. This is the core function of the app. Your conversation content is processed by Anthropic in accordance with their API data usage policy. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in your conversations. Anthropic privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy

xAI

We may also send your conversation messages to xAI's Grok API to generate thinker responses. The same recommendations apply: avoid including sensitive personal information in conversations. xAI privacy policy: x.ai/legal/privacy-policy

Supabase

Our database and authentication provider. All your account data, conversation history, and settings are stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union. Supabase privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy

Google

We use Google OAuth for account sign-in. When you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us. Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Resend

We use Resend to send authentication emails including magic sign-in links to your email address. Resend privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy

Vercel

Mindspar is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Vercel processes web requests and may log IP addresses and request metadata as part of normal hosting operations. Vercel privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Stripe

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you upgrade, your email address is shared with Stripe to create a customer record. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly — Mindspar never sees or stores your card number. Stripe privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy

Sentry

We use Sentry for error monitoring and performance tracking. When errors occur in the application, Sentry automatically captures technical information including error messages, stack traces, browser and operating system type, and page URLs. We do not send your name, email address, or IP address to Sentry. Sentry data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Sentry privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers.

4. Data Retention

Active conversation data is retained for the duration of your account. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use two categories of cookies and similar technologies on mindspar.app:

Necessary. These are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled. They include authentication tokens that keep you signed in, preference cookies that remember your chosen colour theme, and a session identifier used by our error monitoring service (Sentry) to correlate error reports within a single session. The Sentry identifier contains no personal information.

Marketing and analytics. When you give consent through our cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel and use the Conversions API (provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show relevant ads to people who have visited mindspar.app. The Meta Pixel collects information such as the pages you view on our site, your IP address, your browser and device information, and, where you provide it, a hashed version of your email address. This information is shared with Meta and processed by Meta in accordance with Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. The lawful basis for this processing is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR.

You can give or withdraw consent at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of this site. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before the withdrawal. You can also opt out of Meta's advertising directly at facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact hello@mindspar.app to exercise these rights.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections and row-level database security.
